Privacy Policy

The short version: Abyme collects nothing. It has no accounts, no servers of its own to talk to, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Every fractal is computed on your iPhone or iPad, and everything you save stays there unless you choose to share it.

Who we are

Abyme (the “App”) is a fractal explorer for iPhone and iPad, made by Evatech. This policy explains how the App handles your information. It is short because the App collects nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up and no profile. The App contains no third-party SDKs — no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting services — and it makes no network requests of its own. We do not receive your bookmarks, your journal, your exports, your settings or any information about how you use the App.

What stays on your device

Your bookmarks, your island journal and your movie projects, with their thumbnails.
The images and zoom movies you render, until you save or share them.
Your preferences — explainer level, palettes you create, haptics, reduce flashing, left-handed controls and reminder settings.
Your answers to the two short welcome questions, used only to tailor the field guide's explanations and the App's wording on your device.
A small on-device usage ledger (for example, how many islands you have found and the hours you usually explore), used only to decide when to show helpful prompts and when to send a reminder you asked for. It is never transmitted.
Today's dive, shared with the App's own home-screen widget on your device.
Whether Abyme Pro has been unlocked.

This information is included in your normal device backup under your own Apple Account and backup settings; we cannot access it.

Photos

When you tap “Save to Photos”, the App asks for add-only access so it can add that image or movie to your library. The App never reads, lists or uploads your photos.

Sharing and share links

When you share a view, the App hands an image and a link to Apple's share sheet. Where it goes next is up to you and the app or service you choose. The link looks like abyme.evatech.app/d#…: the part after the # describes the place (its coordinates, depth and colours) and is read only by the recipient's browser or by the App — web browsers never send it to our server. Like any website, the server that delivers the page sees standard request information such as an IP address and browser type; we do not use it to identify anyone and we do not combine it with anything else.

Notifications

If you opt in, the App schedules local reminder notifications on your device. No push notification service is involved and nothing is sent to us.

Purchases

Abyme Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The App checks your purchase on your device using Apple's StoreKit.

Children

The App is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. If the App ever begins to collect any information, this policy and the App Store privacy details will change before that version is released.
